Begining the installation

Orchestrator is formed of 2 services, the configuration service and the Orchestrator service itself . The configuration service is installed during the vCenter installation and once the configuration is complete the Orchestartor service can be installed.

The service is configured from a broswer window, once configured all the action takes place using the Orchestrator Client app. However, the configuration service is not started and is set to manual by default.

So change the service to ‘started’ and ‘automatic’, the automatic bit is not needed if you are doing a one off configuration then using the service from the Orchestrator client.

The next step is to connect to the Orchestrator servers port 8282 with a browser, so for example ‘http://localhost:8282′

The login as ‘vmware’ with a password of ‘vmware’.

And when you get here you have completed hurdle number 1 – getting to the point of being able to configure the service.

The next hurdle is configuring the network settings, this is an easy one.
